I thought it would be fun to just play around and do something different today, so I exported all the frames (700 of them) from a wedding I had shot this past season to see what they would look like when stitched together in a movie clip.

One thing that I love about flipping through wedding day images like this, is how you can just feel the positive energy radiating from the photos in series!

Please forgive me for the rather basic editing and crude compression – I have never made a video before, but am learning quickly!

I was elated when my good friend and fellow photograper extraordinaire, Varia broke the good news of her pregnancy to me and I was even more overwhelmed when she asked if I would like to do a maternity portrait session in my studio with her.

Having never really shot baby bumps before, I decided that I would use it as an experience to try something new and to do so with as little outside influence as possible. I wanted the photography to be simple, pure and powerful, without taking away from the beautiful nature of the subject. I also wanted it to reflect my own in-studio style, which is seen more on the commercial and portrait side of my business.

To add an extra element of sophistication to the photos, Varia booked the extremely talented Natasha Kudashinka to come into the studio and body paint her belly. It turned out better than I could have imagined. It’s just fantastic when all the elements come together.

I always get excited when photographing weddings at beautiful churches like St. Peter’s Cathedral Basilica in London Ontario. I won’t lie, it does make my job a little easier when each photographic opportunity is greeted with stained glass, Gothic pillars and intricate murals!

Both Anna and Norbert are pretty artistic and you could see it shine through in all of the intricate details of their day. From Anna’s beautiful and stylish dress to the table settings which she designed. It must also be mentioned that Anna is also a photographer – so she knew just what she was looking for when contacting me. Fun, different and exciting photos! Needless to say, I enjoyed taking on the challenge and had a fantastic time working with them throughout the day!

Yesterday was the absolute perfect day to shoot an engagement in Toronto. The beautiful warm sun was piercing through the trees and a fairly warm breeze was helping to coax the winter coats off of our backs.

Heather and Andrew were such a fun (and totally silly) couple to work with for the day. We were able to explore a little and they didn’t complain when I dragged them up step hills and through a soggy fields. Troopers!

I can’t wait to shoot your wedding in Niagara-on-the-lake later this year!!

This is just a quick little post to show off a different style of wedding album that was created for one of my fantastic couples. This canvas covered album is based on our Vogue series but is unique in the sense that the entire wrap of the cover can be an image.

For this particular album, we decided to go with a slick and modern design that features one of their favorite wedding photos. Canvas covers do cost a little extra and may take extra time to produce due to their custom nature, but the results are spectacular!

A few of you have been asking about what ever happened with the video that was being recording while at the party – so here it is.
