Claire & Chris – The Wedding – Berkley Church, Toronto

As soon as the door opened on our stretched out 61 seater, complete with bendable mid section I could tell that we were in for an all-out fun time. Claire and Chris jumped in as our courteous, uniformed driver held the door. Chris, being one of fairness, reached into his pocket and fished out a little something for our driver – 5 TTC Tokens. You see, Claire and Chris are all about sustainability and Chris is also a political member of the Green Party – So one would expect nothing less than a hip, green wedding from them and that is exactly what they delivered! I also have to say that it was one of the most fun weddings I have been to in quite some time. Live music, wedding pies, vegan cuisine and not a stretched Hummer to be seen!

The venue (The Berkley) was also fantastic, with an eclectic variety of rooms and hallways to shoot in. It seemed as if every time we turned a corner or moved a a few feet, there was yet another opportunity to get a quick shot or two in.

Chris and Claire were also great sports, as I hurried them away from the party for a second quick session of shooting before the night drew to a close! They were such a great couple!

I also have to thank my great second shooter, Ryan of Rowell Photography as well as Patrick, who did an excellent job on assisting with lighting. They helped make short work of a very busy day.

One other fun thing that we did for their wedding was the setting up of a photo booth (more like a mini photo studio) so that guests could be themselves…. or not! Needless to say, it was a total hit!

Aaron loves Leah – Engagement Shoot – Toronto Waterfront

The following photos are from a mini engagement shoot that I did with Leah and Aaron, who are a wonderful couple to say the very least. I say that this was a “mini engagement shoot” only because it was just that. Aaron and Leah didn’t have an engagement shoot package, but I had a dinner scheduled with them to go over final preparations for their wedding and wanted to get out and have some camera fun with them anyways.

We went for a quick trip down to the Toronto beach and raced the clock as the sun set over the concrete and steel in the distance. We may have only shot for 30 minutes or so in total, but still got a number of great photos out of the session.

I can’t wait to work with the both of you on your big day!

*UPDATE* We had a fantastic time working with Leah and Aaron as we photographed their beautiful Bobcaygeon wedding. Take a look at the beautiful Wedding Photos!

Kelly & Marc were married at the historic LeChateau Montebello which is a beautiful resort hotel located alongside the Ottawa riverin Quebec and is about 40 mins from Ottawa.

The grounds at the LeChateau Montebello are beautiful with landscaped gardens and an expansive river view. It’s the largest log structure in the world and if an object within it can be made with wood – it has been! So what a great place for a couple with an outdoorsy edge to get married at!

A canopy of trees set the stage for the ceremony at the Ottawa River’s edge. Such a beautiful day!
